Competition Terms & Conditions

PARTY SEASON STYLING COMPETITION SPONSORED BY REISS AND ASOS

*** Terms and Conditions ***

* This Competition is valid where legally permissible.

*Eligibility to enter the Competition

*The Competition is only open for entry to residents of the UK.  Internet access is required.

*Entrants to the Competition must be over 18 years of age.

*Entrants may enter more than once but no entrant may win more than one prize.

* Entry to the Competition excludes employees and agents (or families of such employees or agents) of Reiss and ASOS or anyone else connected with the administration of the Competition.

*No purchase is required to enter the Competition. No applications from organised groups or applications automatically generated by computer will be accepted.  No incomplete or corrupted entries will be accepted.  Entries will only be accepted if they comply with all the entry instructions.

* Entry to the Competition is through completing the following steps:
1. Entrant will create a “look” outfit that they feel is perfect for the Christmas party season and best illustrates their interpretation of the Autumn/Winter 2011 trends and their own style (the “Look”).
2. Entrant will then create a photo of themselves wearing the Look outfit.
3. Entrant should then give their Look an adequate title, description and tag it with a relevant Autumn/Winter 2011 trend to explain why they feel this is the perfect Look for the Christmas party season and the reasons why it illustrates their interpretation of the Autumn/Winter 2011 trends and their own style.
4. Entrant should then upload the photo and description tag onto the Fashion Finder section of the Asos.com website and submit their entry.

* The Competition begins at 9am (London Time) on 1st December 2011 and closes at 12am (London time) on 4th January 2012. You may enter as many times as you like.

* Competition Prize:
*Following the close of the Competition, the ASOS Fashion Finder team will create a short list of 150 potential winners from all valid eligible entries received basing their decision on creative fashion style and interpretation of the Autumn/Winter 2011 trends in equal parts.

* A member of the ASOS Fashion Finder Editorial Team, Brand Director for Reiss,  Andy Rogers and  Brand Manager for ASOS Fashion Finder, Jemma Pronger, will judge all valid short-listed entries the next UK working week following the close of the Competition, basing their decision on creative fashion style and interpretation of the Autumn/Winter 2011 trends in equal parts, and will select a first prize, second prize and third prize winner that they consider to have posted the best Look according to these criteria.

*Competition winners will be contacted during the working week commencing on the 9th January 2012 through their contact details provided at time of entry.

* The Competition prizes shall consist of the following:

First Prize –  A £300 value Reiss gift card

Second prize - £150 value Reiss gift card

Third Prize - £50 value Reiss gift card

* You may spend the Reiss gift card as you wish in any Reiss store located in the UK so long as the gift card is valid. Reiss will send you the vouchers by registered post within five working days following receipt from you of any details ASOS requests when notifying you that you have won a prize. However if this falls on a weekend or a bank or public holiday in the UK then Reiss will send you the vouchers on the next working day. 
  
Notification of Winners
*Winners for the Competition will be notified by email or through a message on Twitter within 24 hours of the draw or judging taking place. If you enter with a Twitter @username and you are not already following @asos on Twitter, you give us permission to post a public tweet to your @username for us to direct you to follow us so that we can start a Direct Message session with you to get your details privately and award you your prize.

* If you do not reply to an email or a Direct Message on Twitter, or an @username message on Twitter within 72 hours of us sending it, we reserve the right to withdraw the prize and offer it to a substitute winner. ASOS shall not be liable for any delay or failure of any email or message communication or failure of the Twitter platform.

* If you take part in the Competition, you agree your details will be published as a prize winner on the ASOS and Reiss social media pages.

General
* The Competition and Promotion are operated by ASOS.com Limited, Greater London House, Hampstead Road, London, NW1 7FB (“ASOS”) and Reiss Retail, 235 Old Marylebone Road, London, NW1 5QT, Company registration number: 2655347 (“Reiss”) (together the “Operators”). The Data Controller will be ASOS.com Limited.  
*For the avoidance of doubt to the extent that any intellectual property rights (including without limitation copyright and design rights) exist in any of the entries entrants hereby assign any such rights existing anywhere in the world whether existing now or in the future to ASOS.  
* Responsibility is not accepted for entries lost or delayed as a result of any network, computer hardware or software failure of any kind.  Proof of sending will not be deemed proof of receipt.

* By entering the Competition, all entrants will be deemed to have accepted and be bound by the rules and consent to the transfer of their personal data to the Data Controller for the purposes of the administration of this Competition and any other purposes of the administration, including the transfer to Reiss of the winning entrants’ full name, address and email address for the specific purpose of sending them their prize vouchers, and any other purposes to which the entrant has consented.

* The Operators’ decision is final and judicial review is not possible. No correspondence will be entered into. No cash alternative is available. The prize(s) only includes what is expressly stated to be part of the prize(s).  In the event of unforeseen circumstances the Operators reserves the right to substitute any prize(s) for alternative one(s) of equal or greater value.

* The Operators will store your email address in connection with this Competition solely for the purpose of drawing and notifying the winner(s).

* This Competition is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with, Facebook or Twitter. By registering your email address for this Competition, you acknowledge and accept that neither Facebook nor Twitter shall be liable to you in any way for any matter in relation to this sales promotion.

*These terms and conditions are governed and construed under English law.  Entrants hereby irrevocably submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts to settle any dispute or issues.

COMPETITION GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Competition details on the promotional material and competition details page form part of the terms and conditions, such as prizes, starting and ending dates, and any special entry criteria or prize conditions.

ELIGIBILITY:

This competition is valid in all countries where it is legally permissible. If you are 18 years or over and are not an employee including contract and agency staff or agent of ASOS (or the employee’s or agent’s family), then you can enter this competition. We may ask for proof of age or identity at the finalist stage, just to be sure. Using false details will result in disqualification.

There is no purchase necessary. If you do not already have a Fashion Finder member’s account you will be asked to join, which only takes a few seconds. You can register as a member of Fashion Finder free of charge at [http://fashionfinder.asos.com/]. If you would like to know more about what happens to your data when you join Fashion Finder, then please see the ASOS privacy policy (which can be found at the following link http://www.asos.com/infopages/pgeprivacy.aspx).

If you are already a member of Fashion Finder, you will be asked to log in to your account as part of the entry process.

As this is an online competition, it is necessary for you to have access to the Internet and to have an active email address.

It is possible to enter more than once if you are feeling creative, but please be aware that you cannot win more than one prize level within each competition. By submitting your entry, you warrant that your entry is an original work, belongs to you and has not been copied from others, and does not violate the rights of any other person or entity.

JUDGING:

Most of our competitions are open to subjective interpretation, therefore they will be judged by an independent judge or a panel including one independent judge. In these cases all entries received by the closing date stated on the promotional material will normally go through a shortlist process and the winners will be selected from the shortlist by the judge(s).

If we run a competition with a prize draw, then winners will be selected from all the valid qualifying entries by a random draw.

The judges’ decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into. The prize only includes what is expressly stated to be part of the prize, and the prize is non-transferable.

WINNERS:

You are responsible for providing us with accurate and up-to-date contact details. We will not be liable for any failure, delay or inability to contact you. In some circumstances you will need to provide a valid delivery address in order to receive your prize.

If you are a potential winner, we will contact you at the email address you provided and/or through the Fashion Finder messaging service within 7 days of the closing date of the competition, and may ask you to verify your personal details. If you have not replied within 48 hours or you do not meet the eligibility requirements we mentioned above, we reserve the right to withdraw a potential prize.

PRIZES:

Prizes cannot be exchanged or substituted for a cash alternative except at the sole discretion of ASOS.

Prizes are subject to availability and may also be subject to a sponsor’s or supplier’s terms and conditions, which will be communicated in the competition promotional material. We reserve the right to amend prizes or the terms of the competition if the need arises.

In the case where event tickets are awarded as a prize, it is not possible to sell or give these on to a third party. Unless otherwise stated, travel and/or accommodation will not be provided for the event. If you are unable to attend, the prize will be forfeited and retained to be distributed to the next placed entry.

If your prize involves travelling to another country, it is your responsibility to arrange visas if necessary. We do not have any information on travel visas, nor will we become involved in the arrangement of these.

If your prize involves attending an event, be aware that unless otherwise stated we accept no responsibility for the organisation or monitoring of the event. We shall not be liable for any event that is cancelled by a third party. If you do attend an event as part of a prize, you are attending it in your personal capacity and not as an employee, agent, or representative of ASOS.

If you are awarded ASOS vouchers as a prize, you will need to sign up to an ASOS.com account (if you do not already have one), so that we can credit you with the voucher amount. Please note that although this is an international competition the vouchers will be allotted in Pounds Sterling. Due to exchange rates this voucher will be worth the equivalent Pounds Sterling amount in your local currency on ASOS.com on the date you spend your voucher; you may wish to set your currency to GBP in order to get the full value. You may spend the voucher value as you wish on ASOS.com, as long as the voucher is valid, but it cannot be used against purchases made on Marketplace or on other retailers on Fashion Finder. Gift vouchers cannot be used to purchase ASOS Premier and cannot be redeemed against shipping charges.
