Meet Our Spotlight

As our fashion picks turn distinctively more winter-ready, keeping cosy and covet-worthy becomes increasingly more tricky. So when we noticed Rebecca of It's Cohen, working rich colour, faur faux and lots of layers in one winning outfit, we couldn't resist putting her under the Spotlight. Discover her blogging faves and fashion tips for combating hair-raising weather.

I've Been Infected

As we move into winter, I turn to richer shades like burgundy, navy and emerald green. These oxblood-hued trousers are a bit more formal than what I'd usually wear, so I've added layers and my trusty leather jacket to make them more 'me'. The gold crochet makes me think autumn leaves and adds a little Christmas sparkle. Finished off with heels and a slick of red lippy and I'm good to go!

I've Been Infected

American Apparel Cord Skater Skirt: I live in my burgundy skater skirt, and would love to add this mustard one to my collection. Match it with a cosy knitted jumper and tights and you’ll sure be toasty.

ASOS Fedora Hat: Hats are essential when keeping windy locks at bay. My collection of fedoras sits by the door, so I can grab one as I head out, but as it gets colder I’ll be swapping them for beanies.

ASOS Leopard Print Blazer: I'm determined to find the perfect leopard print coat. Considering I wouldn't touch this print a few years ago, it’s surprising that I now want such a statement item!

Q & A:

What A/W'13 trends will you be investing in this season?

I've seen a few bloggers wearing PVC; mixing midi skirts with oversized knits to play down the material, and others pairing pencil skirts with bralets for more of a party look. I think I’d be more likely to wear it in pastels, as the juxtaposition of cute and sexy is a bit more fun.

Best blogger reads?

I'm close friends with a few bloggers now and always check theirs first as I'm nosy and want to know what they’re up to! I love reading Jazzabelle's Diary, What Olivia Did, Charlestown Vintage, Shiny Thoughts, Dearest Deer; they all showcase such different styles.

What is your prized fashion possession?

I always check my local charity shop as a regular rummage can often end up with you coming up with some real bargains, and this summer I came across a brand new pair of Louboutins in my size! After sending a tweet out and getting several 'BUY THEM!' replies, I couldn't resist.
