Meet Our Spotlight
January is a month for sparing the pennies, investing in classic key pieces and reworking your wardrobe faves. For the perfect sprinkling of 2014 style inspiration we asked blogger Katie of Katie Loves to go under the Spotlight. A fan of pastels, monochrome and a dash of sparkle - courtesy of a coveted Cambridge satchel - we love Katie's casual style with a hint of vintage girl glam. Winter blues beware, you're about to be blown away!
I've recently been adding fluffy jumpers to my wardrobe wish-list; they're perfect for adding texture to my outfits. I especially love cropped jumpers paired with something high-waisted like these jeans. To add a bit of colour to the monochrome look, I wore a purple hat and matched my lipstick. My sparkly satchel makes an appearance in most outfits; I love the vintage vibe that it gives to my look.

River Island Pink Coat: I love this coat for its pastel colour and the slightly oversized, androgynous feel. It's great paired with the ultra-girly shade.
ASOS Satchel Bag: I love a good satchel and this one ticks so many boxes! The scallop detailing is really unique and the pastel shade is perfect for S/S'14.
Labour of Love Skirt: I adore this skirt for it's '60s look and shape, plus the monochrome print means it will pair with many wardrobe staples.

Q & A:
What trends will you be investing in this season?
Pastels have been huge this year, I'm hoping that trend moves forward in S/S'14 with sugar-sweet, candy-like hues of mint, peach and lilac. Perfect!
How would your friends describe your style?
My style is definitely girly whilst being very vintage inspired. I love anything which has a 1950's or '60s feel to it. My icons are Katy Perry and Pixie Lott.
What key piece could you live without?
I couldn't live without floral dresses which I wear all year round; on their own in summer and layered up in winter. I'm also a sucker for anything which has a peter-pan collar!
Which blogs are on your must-read list?
I love Steffy's Pro's and Con's
blog for her vintage inspired style. Frassy
and Millie Mackintosh's Style Diary
are also faves for outfit inspiration.
