We're from the school of thought that more is more when it comes to colour and pattern, which is why this week's spotlight, NotDressedAsLamb, took our sartorial fancy. With a wardrobe brimming full of day-glow brights, checks and florals, and her fearless yet fun-lovin' approach to fashion, we've dubbed marketing manager Catherine, queen of clash.

Bowled Over

Whatever I wear just feels wrong if it doesn't include colour or pattern. Currently I’m loving buttoned up shirts with statement necklaces or a brooch. I wore this outfit to a charity brunch where I was working. I was on my feet all day so I chose brogues for comfort and my lovely blue wide legged trousers for colour. I had a lot of compliments that day, but some people were bemused by the hat!

Knitted Check Jacket at ASOS: This jacket has a great vintage feel to it; it makes me think of Bay City Rollers fans and 1970s teenagers.

Messeca Flannel Cuff Boots at ASOS: These wedges have a really strong shape and the mixture of different textures is fabulous.

Statement Necklace at ASOS: This is a gorgeous statement piece and I’m a sucker for gold jewellery! It has a touch of the Ancient Egypt about it.

Q & A:

How would your friends describe your style?

One word I know they would use is colourful. I was once described as the girl who wears the unusual but nice clothes. I took it as a compliment.

Dream trolley dash?

If I could choose a wardrobe to run riot in, it would have to be Elton John’s 1970’s wardrobe. How much fun would that be?!

Best blogger reads?

I love magazines but it’s blogs I read most; my essential daily reads include Be Frassy, Eat Sleep Wear and Keikolynn.

Whose style do you admire?

I'm most influenced by other bloggers. It shows that you don’t need a stylist to have amazing style and that’s why I admire them all so much.
