Meet Our Spotlight
In autumn our sartorial choices swing towards winter-warmers like oversized knits and faux fur, so there's always a thrill to see someone maxing-out on statement trends no matter what the weather. This week's Spotlight, Kavita of She Wears Fashion, certainly isn't shying away just because there's a winter chill. Her mix of leather, rich colour and grunge-inspired mixing and matching, has us wishing winter lasted the whole year through!
I absolutely love burgundy and wine colours at the moment, so pairing this blouse with a tan shoe just oozes an autumn style. It’s such a versatile outfit too; I love that you can throw on a leather jacket and add a beanie to make it a little more winter-ready. My favourite thing about the outfit has to be the cute little horse print on the blouse, it’s fun without being over-the-top girly!

ASOS Striped Bomber Jacket: I absolutely love varsity jackets. They scream college prep, but you can instantly transform it with a grungy beanie and leather skater skirt.
Spirithoods Wolf Hood: Spirit hoods are the original and number one animal hoods, and I think for autumn/winter they're a style essential.
Diesel Knitted Maxi Dress: I fell in love with this dress as soon as I saw it. It's the right amount of grunge and sexy rolled into one and perfect for winter!

Q & A:
What are your favourite trends for A/W’12?
Khaki and burgundy are probably my favourite colours; they are the essential autumn palette for 2012. I also really love leather and would definitely do a head to toe outfit in leather if I could get away with it!
What are your wardrobe workhorses?
I couldn't live without my Jeffrey Campbell Litas, as not only do I need the height - I'm only 5ft - but I absolutely love a killer heel and think they're an essential in everyone's wardrobe!
I would say Rita Ora. She has the most incredible urban style with a girly twist. I can't fault any outfit I have seen her in and it always fits her perfectly. She'd also have a few designer gems in there which I wouldn't mind snapping up!
Fave fashion reads?
I really love Lua from Le-Happy, she does grunge like no other no matter how hard they try! She definitely influences 99% of my grungier outfits!
I also really love Mariannan for more lifestyle and interior posts.
