Meet Our Spotlight
From polka dots to chintzy florals, the power of prints is really quite something. This week's Spotlight Vicki of fashion blog, The Magpie Girl, certainly knows a thing or two about them. The self-confessed 'print-obsessive' is rarely seen without a flourish of florals or retro spot to her ensemble. Blogger, Vicki may be obsessed with prints, but her wardrobe mix of vintage-inspired tea dresses and covet-worthy denim has us obsessed with her style full stop.
Denim Tied with a Bow
I've become a massive fan of shirts buttoned all the way up to the collar, it's my personal take on preppy. On a whim I decided to add the ribbon bow tie which carries the theme, whilst the spotted trousers add a much needed pop of print - I'm print obsessed! My favourite thing about this look is how well the shirt looks with the little tie, you could easily switch up the ribbon with different colours and prints.

ASOS Skinny Spot Jean: One can never have too many spotted trousers! I think these would look great teamed with an oversized neon knit.
Warehouse Biker Coat: As a massive print fan I think this light-weight, relaxed coat would be a perfect addition to take me into the spring months.
ASOS Floral Print Dress: I've had my eye on this dress for a few weeks, the print is so striking and bold. It would be perfect for a summer wedding.

Q & A:
What key piece could you not live without?
If I had to pick just one, I'd have to say lace up brogues. I've always been a fan of flats and brogues are just perfect teamed with ankle socks, tights, cropped trousers you name it!
What new season trends are you looking forward to this S/S’13?
I'm really looking forward to seeing more white on white, which was channelled on the catwalk by Jil Sander and Missoni. There is something so fresh and luxurious about layering white and it’s a perfect look for spring.
What is your most prized fashion possession?
My most prized possession is a gold ring my granny left to me. I wear it everyday, it has insured my love of gold jewellery and now I don’t wear anything but gold even my engagement ring is on a gold band.
Fave fashion reads?
I love reading graphic design and lifestyle blogs, as well as fashion blogs so my daily reads would have to be: Design Love Fest, Sincerly Jules, Hello It's Valentine, Decor8blog and A Merry Mishap.
